LIP CARE

It is best to moisturize your lips well in the days before your procedure (using Aquaphor or something similar). Post-procedure lips must be coated with a moisturizing agent throughout the day and before bedtime. The procedure requires approximately 1-1.5 hours and there is no “downtime”. A touch-up is required 2-5 months after the initial procedure to perfect the lips and make any necessary adjustments to the shape & color, and to prolong your results. After that touch-ups are determined on an individual basis.

It is also recommended to exfoliate with sugar scrubs once a day 1 week prior. Also if prone to cold sores will need to get an antiviral prescription to prevent any potent ion breakouts for 1 week before and 1 week after the procedure.

Please note:  For the first 4-5 days, lips may be sensitive to touch, slightly swollen, appear uneven, and the color may be brighter than desired. This is very common for all permanent cosmetic lip procedures.
